India was knocked out of the Asia Cup 2022 after loosing to Sri Lanka on Tuesday. they then played Afghanistan who have also been knocked out on Friday. Though this match did seemed inoconsequential India brought out the best of their players...

Virat Kohli has done it!!!! Opening the innings with Rahul he took of from the start and finally scored a freaking century after more than a thousand days!!! And it came of the shortest format! As a big Kohli fan i am thrilled. Seeing him hit his century (probably his best knock) was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. He even did it MSD style by getting to his century with a massive six!! He was on a rampage for gods sake!!. Jeesus...

He did so only in 53 balls, continuing on his impressive run of form since his return to Team India in the continental tournament. With this century, he secured the highest score of 122* in all of Asia Cup 2022.

Dude looked visibly elated and relieved, finally hitting back at critics and haters asking him to step down from the team.

He anchored the team taking them to a massive 212 runs in the first innings. 

Though this might be too soon to say, I think I was right!! He might just miight have made his comeback. He ha been consistent thorughout this Asia cup and has topped it of with this beuty of a knock. With 276 runs coming of his 5 matches at an average of 92, its pretty great.  He even had a strike rate of 147!

He broke the shackles and has got to his 71st century finally!

There was visible comfort while he was batting and played like his old self. His drives through the covrs and pull shorts going for a six was a gift to watch. I think the break he took has helped him cope with the pressure and has come back refreshed and  calm. He even got his aggression and love for the gae back and was very visible as he cheered on for bhivneshwar with the "nagin" action. 

But he wasn't the only star of the night. Bhuvneshwar Kumar fired in with one of his greatest spells ever. He tore through the afghanistani top and middle order taking 5 wickets and giving only 4 runs in his 4 overs. The match itself was so happening and seeing India thrash Afghanistan like that reminded my of the days of Tendulkar and Shastri!

Fans and critics are even saying Kohli should open for the t20 WC! What do you guys think?? Write in the comments...
